We are delighted to announce the appointment of Kerry Irvine (B.Ed. GradDipSpED) as Head of Junior School at Korowa.
Kerry has been part of the Korowa community for more than twenty nine years. She is well known to our families for her exceptional care and commitment to the early years of learning. As a Prep Teacher and Early Years Coordinator, Kerry has guided our students through their first experiences of school, helping them develop the confidence, curiosity and love of learning that shape their entire educational journey.
Earlier this year, Kerry was awarded the Korowa Independent Fellowship (KIF), which took her to the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre in Reggio Emilia, Italy. This experience deepened her understanding of community, student voice and dynamic, inquiry-based learning, principles that align strongly with Korowa’s vision and continue to inspire her leadership within the Junior School.Principal Frances Booth, shared:
We’re very fortunate to have her guiding the Junior School and continuing to strengthen the wonderful sense of community that makes Korowa so special.
As Kerry moves into this new role, we will shortly be appointing a new Prep Teacher. The beginning of school is a significant milestone for every child and family. We are committed to finding an outstanding educator who will continue the warm, nurturing and inspiring environment Kerry has led.
We are thrilled to have Kerry leading our Junior School and look forward to the continued growth, innovation and joy she will bring to our youngest learners.
