Mrs Frances Booth is the tenth Principal of Korowa Anglican Girls’ School, joining the School in late 2022 with more than 25 years’ experience in girls’ education across Australia and the United Kingdom. She leads Korowa with a strong commitment to educational excellence, student wellbeing and the enduring strength of community that defines our School.

Mrs Booth believes deeply in creating an environment where every student feels known, supported and inspired to grow. Under her leadership, Korowa continues to build on its tradition of holistic education, bringing together academic learning, wellbeing and co-curricular opportunity to help students develop confidence, purpose and a lifelong love of learning.

Working closely with staff, students, families and alumni, Mrs Booth is focused on ensuring Korowa remains a school where relationships matter, belonging is deeply felt, and young people are empowered to discover their strengths and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

Dr Jennifer Bailey Smith leads the development and implementation of Korowa’s approach to teaching and learning, working across the School to ensure students experience an education that is both academically rigorous and deeply supportive of their wellbeing and personal growth.

Her leadership reflects Korowa’s commitment to Holistic Education: an integrated approach that connects academic learning, wellbeing and co-curricular opportunities to help each student discover her strengths and develop a lifelong love of learning. Through collaboration with teachers and academic leaders, Jennifer helps embed the Korowa Learning Framework across the School, creating a shared language and approach that supports autonomy, belonging and competence in every classroom.

Jennifer is passionate about helping students understand themselves as learners and equipping them with the confidence and motivation to grow. She believes that when learning environments are thoughtfully designed around strong relationships, meaningful challenge and student voice, young people are empowered to flourish both at school and beyond.

Kerry Irvine leads Korowa’s Junior School with a deep understanding of how young learners grow in confidence, curiosity and independence. Having taught in the Junior School at Korowa for many years before stepping into the role of Head of Junior School in 2025, she brings both continuity and insight to the early years of a Korowa education.

Kerry’s leadership reflects Korowa’s commitment to Holistic Education: an integrated approach that brings together academic learning, wellbeing and co-curricular opportunities to nurture each child’s unique potential. She believes that strong relationships sit at the heart of learning, and works closely with teachers and families to ensure every student feels known, supported and encouraged to explore their strengths.

Under Kerry’s leadership, the Junior School fosters autonomy, belonging and competence through engaging classroom experiences, creative and physical pursuits, and a strong sense of community. By building confidence and a love of learning from the earliest years, she helps lay the foundations for students to flourish throughout their Korowa journey and beyond.

Lucy Menting leads the work that connects Korowa’s people, story and future. As Director of Development and Community Relations, she oversees enrolments, marketing and communications, alumni engagement, parent partnerships and the work of the Korowa Foundation, ensuring that every part of the community feels informed, welcomed and connected to the life of the School.

Lucy’s leadership reflects Korowa’s strategic commitment to Our Community: building a vibrant and inclusive environment where students, families, staff and alumni share a strong sense of identity, pride and belonging. Through meaningful events, communications and engagement initiatives, she helps strengthen relationships across generations of Korovians and ensures the spirit of Korowa continues to grow and evolve.

She is particularly focused on helping people understand who Korowa is and what it offers, creating experiences that welcome new families into the community, and fostering a culture where philanthropy and alumni connection are part of school life. Lucy believes that when a school’s community is strong, students feel supported, opportunities expand, and everyone can flourish.

Christian Lawless leads the strategic and operational foundations that support Korowa’s long-term sustainability and growth. As Director of Corporate Services, he oversees finance, operations and resource planning, ensuring the School’s infrastructure, systems and financial stewardship enable exceptional learning experiences for students now and into the future.

Christian’s work is closely aligned with Korowa’s strategic pillar A Thriving School: creating an environment where educational excellence is supported by strong governance, thoughtful planning and a culture of performance, collaboration and accountability. Through careful financial management and forward-looking planning, he helps ensure the School remains resilient, responsive and well-equipped to meet the needs of its community.

A key focus of Christian’s leadership is the implementation of Korowa’s long-term masterplan, guiding investment in facilities, technology and operational systems that will serve future generations of students and staff. He believes that when a school’s foundations are strong - financially, structurally and operationally - its people can focus on what matters most: learning, growth and community.

Sue Black leads the work that supports Korowa’s people, ensuring the School remains a place where talented professionals feel valued, supported and inspired to do their best work. As Director of Human Resources, she oversees staff recruitment, wellbeing, professional growth and workplace culture across the School.

She is committed to fostering a culture of pride, respect and collaboration, where every staff member feels connected to the School’s purpose and community.

Bill Petridis leads Korowa’s information technology and data systems, ensuring the School’s digital and operational infrastructure supports both learning and student wellbeing. With a background in education that includes student counselling and wellbeing leadership, Bill brings a strong understanding of how systems and data can help schools better support young people.

His work focuses on creating reliable, secure and responsive systems that enable teachers and staff to understand each student’s learning and wellbeing journey. By connecting technology, data and school operations, Bill helps ensure Korowa can provide timely support, clear communication and informed decision-making across the community.

Working across all areas of the School, Bill’s team plays an important role in enabling Korowa’s strategic priorities. He is committed to ensuring technology serves people first, helping create an environment where students feel supported, staff feel empowered, and the School continues to grow and adapt for the future.

Eitan Sifris leads curriculum and assessment at Korowa, working with teachers across the School to support engaging, rigorous and student-centred learning experiences. Since joining Korowa in 2022, he has brought thoughtful leadership to teaching and learning, grounded in strong relationships and a commitment to helping every student grow with confidence.

Eitan’s work reflects Korowa’s commitment to Holistic Education, supporting an integrated approach to academic learning, wellbeing and co-curricular opportunity. He works closely with teachers to design learning experiences that challenge and support students, while encouraging curiosity, independence and a sense of achievement. His focus on differentiated instruction helps ensure students are able to learn in ways that recognise their individual strengths and needs.

Before joining Korowa, Eitan held curriculum leadership roles including VCE Coordinator and Head of Humanities, following an earlier career in law. He values collaboration and believes that strong partnerships between teachers, students and families create the conditions for meaningful learning and academic success.

School Council

The School Council is our governing body, and provides the formal leadership to the strategic framework. The Council supports the Executive Team to ensure that the school is well-managed and operates successfully. Its role is to govern the school and not to be involved in its day-to-day management. It is the School Leadership Team’s role to manage the school in accordance with the strategic goals set by the School Council and under its direction.
