Expanded horizons

A world of learning, made real

International learning at Korowa is designed to expand students’ horizons, not just through travel, but through experiences that deepen cultural understanding, build independence and connect learning to the real world. Across languages, humanities, the arts and service learning, students have opportunities to explore different places, perspectives and communities in meaningful, curriculum-connected ways.

Engaging with the world thoughtfully

International immersion experiences help students build capabilities that last well beyond the trip itself, including independence, collaboration, adaptability and perspective. These programs encourage students to engage with the wider world thoughtfully, developing cultural understanding and confidence through shared experiences and purposeful learning.

Language & Cultural Immersion

Korowa students have opportunities to participate in immersion language study tours to countries connected to the languages they learn at school, including Germany, Japan, China and France.

These experiences bring language to life through cultural immersion and authentic contexts that strengthen confidence and communication.

Literature & History Study Tour

For students whose studies connect to the humanities, Korowa offers opportunities such as a Literature and History Tour to the UK and Europe, supporting deep engagement with texts, places and historical context beyond the classroom.

Arts Immersion: USA Arts Tour

Korowa’s international opportunities also extend to the arts. In 2025, for example, students travelled on a USA Arts Tour, experiencing visual art, theatre, music and creative industries across New York City and Los Angeles, including major museums and behind-the-scenes industry learning.

STEM Underwater Robotics (ROV) Challenge

Students involved in the STEM underwater robotics (ROV) program may travel internationally to compete in global engineering challenges, including the MATE ROV World Championships in the United States, and in 2026 will travel to Labrador, Canada. Through designing and testing remotely operated vehicles to complete real-world tasks, students experience global collaboration, applied engineering and problem-solving in authentic international contexts.
