Performing Arts

Performing Arts

Dance and Drama at Korowa encourage creativity, confidence and collaboration through rich performance experiences. Students can take part in school productions, plays, dance showcases and concerts, building skills both on and off the stage. A major School Production is staged annually, alternating between Years 7-9 and Senior year levels, with Junior School productions held biennially.

Beyond productions, students can engage through Junior School and Senior Dance Clubs, the Junior School After School Drama Club, the Performing Arts Committee, and the Korowa Lyrical Dance Competition Troupe. These opportunities nurture confidence, imagination and leadership from an early age. Through performance and collaboration, students develop communication skills, resilience and a strong sense of self-expression.

Debating

Debating

Debating at Korowa develops confident thinkers and articulate speakers. Students from Years 8 to 12 compete in the Debating Association of Victoria’s Schools Competition, with additional opportunities through inter-House and staff-student debates.

Through debating, students learn to research deeply, analyse complex issues, structure arguments and respond thoughtfully under pressure. These skills support academic success across subjects and build confidence for interviews, leadership roles and future study. Debating at Korowa fosters intellectual curiosity, respectful discourse and the ability to think critically and independently.
