Entrance Gates
Our Entrance Gates originally stood at the entrance to Chaddesley, a large house being demolished in Brighton in 1936. Miss Margaret Dickson, our Headmistress, was out for a weekend drive and purchased the gates for 40 pounds paid for by the Korowa Association of parents. Miss Dickson donated the crests to the School and Mrs Murray Dawson, the Art and Craft teacher, did the design and casting. Ranfurlie, the former home of the Knox family and occupied by Korowa since 1914, can be glimpsed through the gates. In 1938 they were dedicated.“be ever open for the admission of the true, the beautiful and the good and closed in the face of all evil”
