The Senior School and Student Services building occupies the footprint of the former Ranfurlie mansion later known from the 1960s as Knox House, honouring the Knox Family. The former ballroom of the house was used for assemblies and music and known as Knox Hall. Used as the Boarding House, as well as for Administration, classrooms and music lessons the building was demolished in 1973 to make way for an extensive rebuilding program with a modern wing to house administration, staff, large central library, art and craft, home economics and drama. Student Services, Staff Offices, the Library, the VCE Centre, a Theatrette, Drama Studios and the Art Department are now situated in this building known as Senior School.
