At every phase of the Korowa journey, our students are encouraged to step beyond the confines of the traditional classroom and experience learning in a range of contexts.
When stepping outside the gates of Korowa, whether it be into the semi-wilderness or a range of urban landscapes, Korowa's experiential learning activities provide our girls with opportunities to:
- be guided by their moral compass;
- live out the School’s values when faced with uncertain and challenging situations; and,
- consider and develop their capacity to work individually and with others in an independent, resilient, responsible, compassionate, creative and optimistic way.
Throughout her time at Korowa, every girl has the opportunity to participate in a range of activities including incursions, excursions, outdoor education camps, retreats, international exchanges and the Year 9 Trek and Urban Connect experiences.
Our central Glen Iris location and our close proximity to public transport mean that our girls and staff have easy access to a range of local resources including Monash University, the University of Melbourne and the City of Melbourne and all that it has to offer.
Korowa girls also have the opportunity to experience life further afield. In any given year, our girls from Year 2 to Year 12, travel to a range of remote and urban locations including Warrnambool, the Victorian Alps, the Mornington Peninsula, Sydney, Japan, Germany, France and China.
