Korowa and our alumni Korovian Club are proud to announce the launch of our professional network, the Korowa Collective, on Monday 23 October 2017.
The Korowa Collective will provide opportunities for Korovians to meet and network with other Korovians working in their field.
Many Korovians own a small business, or aspire to, so the focus for the launch will be Entrepreneurship. There are lots of challenges in small business, with many of them having nothing to do with your product or service – finance, marketing, social media, online marketplaces – and we’d like to help you make the most of your aspirations.
We are therefore delighted to announce that Julia Bickerstaff, founder of The Business Bakery, will be the guest speaker at the launch. With a background in the corporate world, and a growing family, Julia saw the need for accessible, affordable business coaching for small businesses and The Business Bakery was born.
Julia's experience spans very big business, from her time as a partner at the global consulting firm Deloitte, to her current work developing small businesses. She is a finance expert on Kochie's Business Builders, a regular on ABC's Finance Quarter and writes for digital publications such as Smart Company and Flying Solo.
Julia will be sharing Four ways you are making business harder than it needs to be, including pricing too low and fuzzy marketing. Korovians and current parents are invited to attend this free seminar at Korowa Anglican Girls' School.
