Korowa Anglican Girls' School alumna Dr Linny Phuong has been recognised as the Doctor in Training of the year by the Australian Medical Association.

Dr Phuong is a Paediatric Infectious Disease Fellow at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne and is highly regarded by her peers at the Hospital. This award recognises outstanding leadership, advocacy, and accomplishments of a doctor in training.

Dr Phuong was inspired by her experiences as the child of refugee parents to establish the health promotion charity, the Water Well Project. The Water Well Project aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people of refugee and asylum seeker background by improving their health literacy.

We are so proud of Linny's achievements and her sense of social service. We wish her all the best and congratulate her on this recognition from her industry.
