Korowa has a long-standing and consistent track record in VCE excellence over the years.

As a proudly non-selective School, our results attest to the fact that students with a broad range of abilities and interests have the opportunity to excel with a Korowa education.

2016 Results

  • 15% ranked in the top 1% of the state with an ATAR of 99 or above 
  • 43% ranked in the top 5% of the state with an ATAR of 95 or above 
  • 57% ranked in the top 10% after achieving an ATAR of 90 or higher
  • Korowa’s median ATAR is 93.25
  • Korowa’s VCE Duxes, Jennifer Gu and Elaine Xu, achieved perfect score ATARs of 99.95

27% of study scores were 40 and above, across a wide range of subjects including five perfect scores in Art, Biology, English, EAL and Mathematical Methods.  

2015 Results

  • 12.5% achieved an ATAR of 99 and above
  • 48.65% achieved an ATAR of 90 and above

Perfect scores of 50 were achieved in Chemistry, English (3), History, Further Maths and Chinese (2nd language), with 26% of students received a study score of 40 or above. 2015 VCE Top Achiever was Madeleine Fei who received a perfect ATAR of 99.95.

2014 Results

  • 6.5% achieved an ATAR of 99 and above
  • 30.0% achieved an ATAR of 95 and above
  • 45.5% achieved an ATAR of 90 and above

Perfect scores of 50 were achieved in Biology, Chemistry, English (2), Physical Education and Psychology, with 24.1% of students received a study score of 40 or above. 2014 VCE Top Achiever was Joelle Tan who received a perfect ATAR of 99.95.

2013 Results

  • 10% achieved an ATAR of 99 and above
  • 22% achieved an ATAR of 95 and above
  • 43% achieved an ATAR of 90 and above

Perfect scores of 50 were achieved in Art, Biology, English (3), Further Maths and German.

2013 VCE Top Achiever was Maggie Chen who achieved an ATAR of 99.90

2012 Results

  • 9%  achieved an ATARs of 99 and above
  • 48% achieved an ATARs of 95 and above
  • 66% achieved an ATARs of 90 and above

Seven perfect subject scores were achieved across a range of subjects: Chemistry, Geography, Further Mathematics, Mathematical Methods (2 perfect scores), Specialist Mathematics, and Physical Education. 2012 VCE Top Achiever was Joyce Chan achieved a perfect ATAR of 99.95

2011 Results

In 2011, Korowa was ranked equal first among independent schools  based on its VCE median study score (37). Overall, the School was ranked tenth of all schools in Victoria (including government and independent) based on the percentage of study scores above 40.

The Class of 2011 achieved exceptional results including:

  • 63% of our students achieved an ATAR of 90 or higher
  • 52% of our students achieved an ATAR of 95 or higher
  • 11% of our students achieved an ATAR of 99 or higher
  • 30% of all study (subject) scores were marked 40 or above

2010 Results

In 2010, the School was ranked equal second of all independent non-selective schools in the State based on median VCE scores.

There were two perfect study (subject) scores in Art and Further Mathematics.

Some of our other key results for the 2010 VCE class included:

  • 12% of our students achieved an ATAR of 99 or higher
  • 33% of our students achieved an ATAR of 95 or higher
  • 49% of our students achieved an ATAR of 90 or higher
  • 83% of all study (subject) scores were graded as B or higher
