Mrs Helen Carmody
I am honoured and feel very privileged to be the ninth Principal of Korowa Anglican Girls’ School - a school that is steeped in over 125 years of tradition and has achieved a long history of excellence in girls’ education.
While history and tradition are the fabric from which our School was built, it is in fact the progress and bold pioneering that has occurred over the years which is the real legacy to our current and future students.
Korowa is taking bold strides into the future with a responsive and dynamic curriculum and cutting edge eLearning technologies – an area which is a professional interest of mine after completing my Masters in this field.
I have been working in education for over 30 years in both independent and government schools across ELC to Year 12. The reason I have chosen to join the Korowa community is that I believe quality teaching stems from relationships of mutual respect and understanding. In order to engage, lead and inspire you need to begin with a strong personal foundation. At Korowa, every teacher knows every student. The small class-sizes allow personal engagement and individualised care that serves as an extremely powerful tool in the classroom.
Our community of parents, staff, students and Korovians is an incredibly welcoming, engaged and encouraging group. Please visit us at an Open Morning or take a tour with our Admissions Manager to see Korowa in action.
I look forward to welcoming you into our Korowa community.
