Music School: Margaret McPherson Centre

Let us guide you Let us guide you

Dedicated as the Margaret McPherson Centre, the building is home to Korowa's Music School.

Opened in the Centenary year of 1990, the Margaret McPherson Centre was designed to blend in with the Ranfurlie Crescent streetscape. It sits on the former site of The Residence, which had been the home of several of Korowa’s Principals as well as the library.

Named after Miss Margaret McPherson, Principal (1970 - 1990), the Centre comprises the Studio, private music tuition rooms and teaching classrooms and welcomes a vast array of musicians of all ages and interests.

The Studio features the Felicity Elder memorial stained glass windows which were originally in Knox Hall. Felicity Elder, a Korowa student, passed away aged 12 in 1944.

The windows were a gift to the School from her family members and remain a symbolic link to Korowa’s past.
