The future of STEAM

Caitlin was thrilled to already have early offer to ANU with a flexi double, however a first round offer to Melbourne University has left her with a decision to make! Caitlin says “I’ve always had a passion in STEM and curiosity about how and why things work the way they do. My passions have stemmed a foundation for my goal of becoming an engineer in the future, which is why I intend to study a double degree of Engineering and Biotechnology”

“After learning about biofuels and renewable fuels through Chemistry this year, I became interested in thermochemistry and hope to explore it more through my course in university! I still want to further extend my knowledge in health sciences as well, therefore I am really excited to learn more about biotechnology.”

Heading to a warmer climate

Jess, hopes to follow in her brother’s footsteps and venture to Queensland’s Bond University to study a Bachelor in Exercise Sports Science. Jess plans to go onto study a Masters in Occupational Therapy.

Sport has always played a huge part in my life, and I hope that it continues to. It also played a huge role in the decision I made about my life after school. Besides choosing to study a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, I also wanted to choose a university where sport played a big part in university life. I felt that sport and other activities builds a strong and connected community, which is why this was a factor I was consciously thinking about when choosing a university.”

A culinary future

Zoe, hopes to head to William Angliss to study the Dual Course of Certificate 4 in patisserie and Certificate 3 in commercial cookery. “I was attracted to [this course] as baking has been my passion for a long time now and this course will enable me to pursue a career in the future in line with my passion. I chose William Angliss as my school of choice as it is one of the few institutions that offer the course I am interested in as well as possessing great facilities.”

Whichever path Korowa’s Class of 2021 choose to take, we know they will do so with courage, grace and conviction. We are so proud of each and every one of them. Well done, Class of 2021.
