2010 Scholarships

Korowa Anglican Girls' School has a rich tradition of offering scholarship opportunities to outstanding students.

Academic Scholarships

Academic Scholarships are awarded to girls who possess strong academic capabilities.

In 2010 Academic Scholarships will be available to external students in Years 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11.  Current Korowa students are also invited to apply for 2010 Academic Scholarships for Years 6, 7 or 11.

Academic scholarships will be offered to applicants on the basis of their performance in an EduTest examination and following an interview with the Principal or her delegate. 

2010 Academic Scholarships will continue until Year 12 providing academic performance and progress are maintained at a high standard.

Music Scholarships

Music scholarships will be awarded to girls who possess strong academic abilities and outstanding proficiency with an orchestral instrument, although pianists and singers of excellence may also be considered.

In 2010 Academic Scholarships will be available to external students in Years 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11.  Current Korowa students are also invited to apply for 2010 Music Scholarships for Years 6, 7 or 11.

Music Scholarships may include remission of School tuition fees plus music tuition fees OR remission of music tuition fees only.  These Scholarships will be offered to applicants on the basis of both their performance in an EduTest examination and an audition, and an interview with the Principal or her delegate. 

2010 Music scholarships will continue until Year 12 providing academic and musical performance and progress are maintained at a high standard.

General Excellence Scholarships

General Excellence Scholarships are awarded to girls who have demonstrated consistent outstanding achievement in one or more academic or co-curricular areas over a period of time.

In 2010 General Excellence Scholarships will be available to external students in Years 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11.  Current Korowa students are also invited to apply for 2010 General Excellence Scholarships for Years 6, 7 or 11.

General Excellence Scholarships will be offered to applicants on the basis of their performance in an EduTest examination (first round applicants), a written submission which provides evidence of the breadth and depth of the applicant's achievements, their School reports, and an interview with the Principal or her delegate. 

2010 General Excellence Scholarships will be granted until Year 12 providing academic and co-curricular (as appropriate) performance and progress are maintained at an appropriate standard.

(An application letter and supporting documentation must also be provided to the School.)

General Information

Applications for 2010 Scholarships must be made by Friday 24 April 2009. There is a fee of $80 associated with each application.

All applicants for the Academic, Music and (first round) General Excellence Scholarships are required to participate in the academic testing component of the Scholarships program.  Applicants for Music Scholarships must undergo an additional (musical) audition.  Applicants for Academic or Music Scholarships may be also considered for General Excellence Scholarships by providing additional supporting material.

Applicants may be considered for more than one type of 2010 Scholarship.  You only need to complete an on-line application once, and pay one application fee.  All applicants for Music and General Excellence Scholarships will also be automatically considered for Academic Scholarships.  Applicants for Academic and Music Scholarships can also be considered for a General Excellence Scholarship providing an application letter and supporting documentation is submitted to Korowa by 4pm, Friday 24 April 2009.
