Korowa Anglican Girls' School has a rich tradition of offering scholarship opportunities to outstanding students.
Academic Scholarships
Academic Scholarships are awarded to girls who possess strong academic capabilities.
In 2009 Academic Scholarships will be awarded to external students in Years 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11. Current Korowa students are also invited to apply for 2009 Academic Scholarships for Years 7 or 11. Academic scholarships for 50% or 25% of the School tuition fee will be offered to applicants on the basis of their performance in an EduTest examination and following an interview with the Principal. 2009 Academic Scholarships will be granted for to, and including, Year 12 providing academic performance and progress are maintained at a high standard.
Music Scholarships
Music scholarships will be awarded to girls who possess strong academic abilities and outstanding proficiency with an orchestral instrument, although pianists and singers of excellence may also be considered.
In 2009 Academic Scholarships will be awarded to external students in Years 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11. Music scholarships for 50% or 25% of the School tuition fee, plus 100% of music tuition fees OR 100% of music tuition fees only will be offered to applicants on the basis of both their performance in an EduTest examination and an audition, and following an interview with the Principal.
2009 Music scholarships will be granted for to, and including, Year 12 providing academic and musical performance and progress are maintained at a high standard.
Korowa Foundation VCE Scholarships
VCE Scholarships, each with a value of 25% of the School tuition fee for Years 11 and 12, are offered to external and current Korowa students who will be in Year 11 in 2009.
For external applicants, the offer is based on past school reports and a written submission which demonstrates the breadth and depth of the applicant's achievements and which explains why they wish to join the Korowa community, and following an interview with the Principal.
For internal applicants, the offer is based on past school reports and a letter of parent support, and following an interview with the Principal.
Applications from external students for the Korowa Foundation VCE Scholarships are called for during Term 1 2008. Applications from current Korowa student will be called for during Term 4, 2008. There is no application form for these Scholarships. Application is made by writing to the Principal outlining the individual's claim against the selection criteria, as described above.
