100 days of Prep

Korowa’s Grade Prep classroom was transformed into a fairytale party complete with a 100 candle Smartie and Jellybean cake to mark the students reaching their first 100 days at school.
Students sang ‘Happy 100 days to us’ to the tune of Happy Birthday as they celebrated with their teachers and Grade 3 buddies.
Lower Primary Coordinator, Kerry Irvine, said preparation for the 100 days party had a strong focus on building numeracy skills.
“The girls were involved in every aspect of the party planning and decorations. They counted everything in groups of ten, from the party hats to the jellybeans for the cake. It was a fun way to make maths come alive for the Preps,” she explained.
