K Ball A Huge Success

Over 350 parents, teachers and friends of Korrowa attended the inaugural 2008 K Ball - ‘Living In The Seventies' and what a superb night of fun and fundraising it turned out to be!
The ‘fun' part was clearly evident though out the night. The guests were greeted to a magnificently decorated room with vibrant pink, red, purple and yellow colour, consistent with the ‘Seventies' theme. There was a great ‘buzz' in the room during pre-dinner drinks, as we were treated to a terrific opening musical set from Korowa dad Mike O'Hehir's band, so well supported by Korowa girls Annabelle Priftis, Lily Ponting and Katerina Dandanis. This was then followed by a great food menu, superb wines, and a crowded dance floor with great music by Daryl Cotton and the Rockafellaz with special guest Lisa Edwards. Good natured complaints of sore feet from so much dancing were regularly heard at the end of the night!
A final thanks must go to the very, very hardworking Organising Team comprising Melissa Ross, Michael Read, Dianne and Mike O'Hehir, Liz Burgess, Jacqui Dowd, Geoff Matthews, Fiona Dann, James Dunn, David Hays and his Silent Auction team Jan Hays, Jane Dunn, Jill Cashin, and Amanda Bagot, as well as Rob Turnbull and Di Wickham from the KPA and Sarah Brook from the Korowa Development Office. Their passionate involvement was truly inspiring.
