Our Human Sign
11 May 2009
Staged as a lead-in to the proposed 10,000 person human sign on St Kilda Beach on 17 May, the event was one of a series of activities designed to improve students' knowledge and understanding of global warming.
Everyone from the Korowa community is invited to participate in the bigger human sign at St Kilda Beach, in what promises to be a family friendly event with lots of entertainment. The event starts at 11am sharp, rain or shine. The words CLIMATE CHANGE - OUR FUTURE IS IN YOUR HANDS will be formed on the beach and photos will be taken from a tethered blimp and a light plane. Thanks to Sustainability in Stonnington (SIS), a group of committed professionals concerned about the impact of climate change, for their invitation to participate and their support in organising school activities.
