International Student Coordinator

Korowa aims to ensure all students gain a deep understanding of the international community and their place within it.  To assist in the achievement of this aim, we welcome a small number of international girls each year, principally in the Senior School.  Korowa delivers a fully integrated program in which Australian and international girls are able to share their values and cultural norms thereby promoting improved knowledge and appreciation of wider international issues in all students.

Korowa recognises that, given the nature of the living arrangements for many international students, they may have needs and issues which differ from Australian girls.  The International Student Co-ordinator, Mrs Mardi Holland, works in partnership with House Co-ordinators and the Heads of the Middle and Senior Schools to ensure international students studying at Korowa have a positive experience during their time at the School.  This dedicated role proactively monitors international students' health and well being, as it relates to the School and, if issues arise, works in collaboration with students, parents, guardians, School staff and others to reach an appropriate solution.  The International Student Co-ordinator undertakes homestay inspections and, for student under 18 years of age, confirms appropriate guardianship arrangements are in place.
