Chess Club
The Korowa Chess club is open to interested students from Years 1 - 6. Reception students are also invited to attend in Term 4. Junior School Art Teacher Kate Parton has been running the club for seven years and is passionate about the positive impact it has on all the girls who participate. In 2007 the Chess Club was also the basis for a Maths Inquiry Unit conducted by Year 4 students which earned the class a Distinction in the Maths Talent Quest. Average numbers attending are around 28 although this always swells in Term Four when Reception students begin participating. For further information contact Mrs Kate Parton.
