Our Campus

Our Campus

Many people are surprised by the generous size of our campus when they visit the School.  Nestled in leafy Glen Iris, we are tucked away from busy main roads and offer students a warm and friendly atmosphere each day.

Our campus includes first rate facilities and extensive sporting grounds.  In addition to the School oval, we have three tennis courts and two netball/basketball courts as well as a gymnasium and an indoor heated 25m swimming pool.  Our grounds host play equipment and abundant green space.  There is ample room for children to play or find a quiet place for reflection.

Our Early Learning Centre was refurbished for the start of the 2008 school year.  All Junior School classrooms have lockers and bathroom facilities adjacent to them.  The Junior School library and art room and music room are all housed within the Junior School building.  Girls are able to access these facilities without leaving the classroom precinct.

The Cripps Building is a purpose-built facility for the Middle School.  To meet our curriculum need to employ flexibility in teaching delivery, the building includes open areas for inter-class interaction as well as smaller work pods which facilitate small group or individual activities.

The Senior School building includes the Senior School library, a well resourced and stimulating work environment.  Our purpose-built VCE Centre co-locates classrooms, private study rooms and a café area for VCE students, together with our Careers Counsellor and our Director of Studies and Learning.  This contemporary area provides Year 11 and 12 students with a place to meet with staff and other students.

At Korowa we believe it is important that our students are able to maintain their excellent study habits during tertiary studies.  Our café approach teaches student self-discipline and ensures students are prepared for the similar environment found at University.  And it seems to work.  Our research indicates that our students maintain their outstanding academic results during their undergraduate degrees.

Our maintenance and grounds staff ensure our buildings and grounds are maintained at high standards.  Buildings are renewed and refurbished on a regular basis.  Our 2015 Master Plan outlines our building program into the next decade.  For more information about current building projects, click here.
